Wagamama is coming to town

Such is the cult-like presence of the wagamama food chain, the publicity surrounding its opening precedes it. I have eaten its food on a occasionally in my eternal search of a perfect restaurant made bowl of ramen outside Japan that has eluded me. Wagamama, like all others, has not failed to disappoint, even though they do not seem to try to hide their Oriental inspiration.

I didn't eat there when it first opened, so I can't say if they started with more authentic recipes and gradually changed the recipes to suit western ingredients or tastes. I did however buy a copy of their book, Way of the Noodle, which described the authentic methods and ingredients, so I know they know how even if they choose not to follow their own advice. In any case I am curious enough to get the the bottom of this irrational preoccupation that I have decided that the only way is to take a look on the inside. Since they are moving in next door it should not take much effort, to get there at least, so I file my application using the online application which I post the same day.
